Outside of work, my life revolves around my family, friends, and my unwavering support for the Cleveland Browns. I reside in Avon, OH, with my loving wife Julie and our three wonderful children.

Garrett Bourbina, CFP®, APMA®
Senior Wealth Advisor
My fascination with how money works started at a young age and led me to pursue a career in finance. Witnessing the profound impact that financial guidance can have on people's lives solidified my decision. I realized that by assisting individuals in navigating their own financial journeys, I could make a positive difference.
During my homeschooling years in Saginaw, Michigan, my interest in investing was sparked. I vividly remember tracking stocks on a whiteboard in my bedroom, meticulously noting down prices and other data in what I fondly referred to as my 'investment book.'
Growing up in a diverse community, I learned the value of helping others through my summer job as a lifeguard. The principles I acquired in that role, such as protecting and guiding people, seamlessly carry over into my current profession. I strive to blow the whistle before someone makes a damaging financial decision and guide them toward more secure waters.
My journey toward helping others was strongly influenced by my grandparents, Bill and Esther. I fondly remember spending summers helping them at their home and in their yard. Each project was usually followed by a life lesson, such as 'A fool and his money are soon parted' or my personal favorite, 'Helping others is a primary responsibility.'
While those early years can be described as preparation for my career, I would say that my career has helped prepare me for where I am in life now. I have a beautiful wife, Megan, and an incredibly cute little girl named Esther (named after my grandmother). There are many similarities between the love, care, and effort that go into a person’s financial plan and what I experience in my roles as a husband and father. My clients would likely tell you that I am often jotting down notes about their own experiences in parenting or marriage. I like to view this as another great dividend of the work that I am blessed to be able to do.

Casey Davis
Wealth Advisor
My journey with Landing Point Financial Group is both unique and deeply personal. Growing up with my mom, Kathy Davis-Kime, and stepfather, Tom Kime, who were original partners in the firm, I witnessed their dedication and passion firsthand. Their commitment to educating clients and helping them achieve their financial goals inspired me from a young age.
When the opportunity to join the team arose, I didn’t hesitate. That was 20 years ago. I started as a receptionist, where I found joy in greeting clients and building personal connections, a core aspect of our company’s philosophy. Over time, I moved into the role of client concierge, providing essential support during some of life’s most challenging moments. Working closely with Joe Flinner as his client service associate deepened my understanding of financial planning and reinforced my commitment to serving clients with dedication and attention to detail.
Now, with my daughters grown and forging their own paths, I’m stepping into a new role as a financial advisor, following in my mother’s footsteps. Stepping into her shoes did not come easily. The amount of effort and studying necessary to pass the security licensing exam required tested my patience and will power. With the unwavering support of the Team at Landing Point and my determination I was able to reach this goal. With two decades of experience at Landing Point Financial Group and a firsthand perspective on our clients’ journeys to financial success, I feel well-prepared to guide others towards their retirement goals with both expertise and compassion. I’m honored to continue the legacy of excellence and service that defines our firm and am committed to providing comprehensive financial advice as clients navigate their financial challenges and opportunities.
In my personal life, I find fulfillment in spending time with my aging parents, who have always supported me. I’m also actively involved with the Lakewood Outdoor Basketball Committee (LOBC) and the Madison Court Community Coalition (MC3). Through LOBC, I work to ensure underserved youth have access to safe parks and basketball courts, while with MC3, I advocate for equal access to community resources. Though I currently reside in Westlake, I’m planning to relocate to the west side to stay closely connected with these organizations and continue my community efforts. Contributing to these causes brings me great joy and fulfillment.

Wealth Advisor
With nearly a decade of experience as a Wealth Advisor, I have been helping individuals, families, and small businesses achieve financial clarity and success since 2015. With a specialty in complex financial and tax planning for households and a passion for helping small business owners, I work closely with my clients to ensure they feel confident in their financial futures.
Driven by the fundamentals of Servant Leadership, I transitioned into the financial industry and with the goal of helping anyone and everyone. Over the years, that ambition to serve has become more focused, yet the passion and drive to make a meaningful difference in others' lives has only grown stronger.
In January 2025, I proudly partnered with LPFG, bringing a wealth of experience to their esteemed team. In addition to pre-and post-retirement planning, I specialize in designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive retirement plans for small businesses, helping business owners and their teams build a secure retirement foundation.
Outside of my professional life, my wife Angie and I are proud parents to three amazing kids. Our household is filled with friendly competition with a passion for Cleveland sports – not to mention we are diehard Buckeye supporters. We enjoy getting outdoors to enjoy all the seasons Ohio has to offer (which includes time on Lake Erie), and when the opportunity presents itself, escaping to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Colleen Minnich, CPA®
Associate Accounting Director
I love that each day brings new challenges as I cater to the unique needs of our diverse clients, ensuring that no two days are ever boring. Before my accounting career, I worked in the marketing department of Bonne Bell, a cosmetic company. Even after having children, I continued working part-time for Bonne Bell. However, when I decided to return to full-time work, I made a deliberate choice to shift my focus from marketing to accounting. The analytical and financial side of my previous role intrigued me, leading me to pursue a career in accounting.
My childhood in Lakewood, Ohio was filled with fond memories of living near the stunning shores of Lake Erie and the captivating Cleveland Metroparks. Now residing in Avon Lake, my family holds immense importance to me and my husband, Chip. We cherish our annual trips to the Outer Banks with Chip's parents, and Chip's talent as a musician adds beautiful melodies to our lives.
Chip and I are blessed with three children. Our eldest, Olivia, graduated from Ohio State University with a biology degree, and she and her fiancé are currently residing in the Columbus area. Our son, Owen, is attending Lorain Community College and will be transferring to Ohio State University, majoring in marketing. Our son, Quinn, currently attends the University of Akron, majoring in psychology. Drawing on my accounting expertise, I have successfully planned for our retirement and funded our children's 529 College Advantage accounts, securing their future.
During my leisure time, I find solace in hiking, exploring the serene beauty of the Metroparks, and venturing to captivating locations like Hocking Hills, Ohio, and Panama Rocks in Panama, NY. As retirement approaches, Chip and I plan to travel to each of the Big Ten stadiums to watch Ohio State games, always searching for new hiking trails in those areas. Additionally, I have a deep desire to witness the majestic grandeur of the Grand Canyon and other enchanting destinations out west.
Balancing a busy schedule, I prioritize regular exercise by swimming daily before work at our local YMCA, even during the demanding tax season. My family cherishes the homemade chocolates I make, a tradition passed down from my mother. We also bond over our love for tailgating and attending Ohio State football games, sharing in the excitement and camaraderie of game day.
Janelle Hohman
Accounting Manager
I have over 30 years of experience with accounting in the private sector. I was self-employed for many years while raising my children. Once they started leaving the nest, I went back to work full time in the private sector. I welcome the challenges as I step into the public sector of accounting. I’m excited to use my skills, and learn new ones, to benefit LPFG’s clients and even more excited to join such a great team. I love that LPFG is committed to being a blessing to our clients, our team, and our community!
I grew up in Tiffin, Ohio but have lived in the Amherst/Lorain area for over 30 years. I have four grown children strung from Ohio to Michigan to Florida. I cherish my time with them. I love travel (Africa is my current favorite), scuba diving, animals, and spending time with family and friends. I’ve never met a beach I didn’t love.
I am on the board of The Pet Pantry of Lorain County and very involved with its daily activities. This is a 501c3 charity that helps struggling families in Lorain County feed/keep their pets by providing food and supplies.
Joe Elbert, CPA®
Accountant
As an accountant at Landing Point Financial Group, I play an integral role in the accounting department, where my responsibilities encompass tax preparation and planning, bookkeeping, and the preparation of financial statements. While I’m relatively new to the company, I’ve quickly adapted to the needs of our clients and the team.
Outside of work, I am a husband to my wife, Jenni, and a father to three children: Sonny, Lexi, and Ben, who are mostly grown. My youngest, Ben, is autistic, and Jenni and I dedicate much of our time to supporting him and encouraging his involvement in outdoor activities. Ben is currently a member of the Cleveland Wildcats hockey team, and I assist him during practice sessions on the ice.
My passion for accounting stems from my desire to help people. I find satisfaction in assisting clients with their financial needs, particularly in tax planning. What I enjoy most about my role here at Landing Point is the opportunity to engage with both clients and colleagues to solve problems and contribute to their financial success.

I have had the privilege of being a part of Landing Point since April 2009. In my role, I am dedicated to providing excellent service to our clients. I find great satisfaction in finding solutions to the challenges involved with training and managing a cohesive team.
Residing in rural Tiffin, I have had the joy of raising five children with my husband Barrett. Our children and grandchildren have brought immense joy and fulfillment to our lives. Alongside managing the operations of Landing Point Financial Group, I am actively involved in our family farm.
The Zimmerman family farm is a place where we raise freezer beef, pork, and poultry. We also manage 100 acres of cropland and maintain numerous bee colonies for honey extraction. This connection to the land and the natural world brings me a sense of grounding and fulfillment.
